The Red Sox Have Truck Day,We Have Dock Day!

It's getting to be time to put these objects in their proper positions

Dock Day is coming!  The Club Spring Work Party is coming up on April 21.  This is when we put the dock into the water, dig the Sunfish out of the snow, and put the generally put club back in working order for the summer.  Racing for the Flying Scots start a week later on April 28th.

The Board held its walkthrough today, and the club grounds actually survived this crazy winter pretty well.  There's going to be a lot of brush clearing, but almost everything survived intact.

Old man Winter isn't giving up just yet!  He still has a grip on our Sunfish!

New England Spring

This is normal behavior for New Englanders once the temperatures hit 40

Here in New England, the sailing season begins as soon as we can punch our daggerboards through the ice.  Six intrepid souls took to the water at Barrington Yacht Club's spring frostbite series under light winds, cloudy skies and a ripping current.  Racing was close, with only three points separating the top three boats.

Hypothermia be damned! This is perfectly normal spring behavior for New Englanders
There are lots more photos of average, normal New Englanders Here in the MYC Pressroom
